Half papaya (about 200g) contains the recommended amount of vitamin C defined in Daily Dietary Reference Intakes.
As the fruit ripen, β-carotene increases. Melting texture, sweet taste and smell of papaya will take you to a tropical island.
Serve with lemon or lime. You can also marinate meats in papaya juice to bring out the flavor.

Preservation method
If you feel moisture of the fruit when you put it in your hand or if you smell the delicate scent of the fruits, they are ripe.
For ripening green papayas, please gently wrap them with papers and leave them in a place with temperature of around 20 ℃ and avoid exposing them to wind.
Please do not keep them in the refrigerator. Once the fruits are ripe, they usually last for around a week at room temperature of 8 to 10℃.
